About Helen

Helen Clutterbuck is a versatile soprano with a large range of performing experience.  She is based in Southern England.

Helen studied on the Morley College Opera Course, performing scenes as Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel and Soeur Constance in Dialogues des Carmélites. She was the recipient of a full scholarship to perform scenes as Alice in Verdi’s Falstaff  for Morley Opera.

 

She was nominated for Best Female Singer in the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival for her roles as Princess Ida and Constance in The Sorcerer.

Recent roles include Adele in Die Fledermaus, Josephine in HMS Pinafore, Aline in The Sorcerer,  Ännchen in Der Freischütz and Oscar in A Masked Ball.  She appeared as Despina in Mozart's Così​ fan tutte in an exclusive production at The Athenaeum Club, Pall Mall.

 

Helen has appeared as a soloist at the Royal Chapel, Windsor Great Park and she regularly sings with Eton College's Lower Chapel Choir. She has appeared as a guest soloist in both the Aldershot Proms and the Basingstoke Proms. She played the role of Titania in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream at an outdoor performance in Windsor with YAOW Theatre. She appeared as a guest singer in an episode of Backchat with Jack Whitehall, singing with Michael Ball and David Walliams.  She studies with Diana Vivian.
